COEs Again End Mixed During Second August Bidding Exercise

This afternoon saw 4,365 successful bids out of a total of 6,286 received during the second bidding exercise of August for Certificates of Entitlement (COEs).

Quota of 2034 @ $53,334, up from $52,503.

Category A (cars 1,600cc and below, and have a maximum power of 130bhp),


Quota of 1336 @ $56,500, down from $57,903.

Category B (cars above 1,600cc),


Quota of 180 @ $48,001, down from $48,302.

The commercial vehicle category C,


Quota of 365 @ $6,352, up from $6,206.

Motorcycle category D,


Quota of 450 @ $56,956, down from $58,201.

Open Catagory E,

The low number of COEs offered, are due to current owners choosing to keep their cars longer.

Bids can be submitted through the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) of DBS/POSB, the Internet Banking facility of UOB, or via the OCBC phone banking services.

The bid deposit for COEs in Categories A, B, C and E is $10,000 per bid while that for Category D is $200 per bid.
