Give me a quick specs rundown of the Singapore-bound BMW iX2

The front wheel drive BMW iX2 eDrive20 M Sport is powered by an electric motor producing 110kW (147hp) and 250Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.5 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 170 km/h. Its high-voltage battery offers 64.8kWh of usable energy. The drive system provides a range of up to 478km (WLTP). There's 525 to 1,400 litres of cargo space and comes equipped with 20-inch M light alloy wheels as standard.

How about its charging capability?

The battery can be charged from 0 to 100% in 6.5 hours with 11kW AC, or 3 hours 45 minutes with 22kW AC. DC fast charging at up to 130kW allows charging from 10 to 80% in 29 minutes, and 10 minutes of charging can add 120km of range.

Over-the-air updates

The BMW iX2 receives Remote Software Upgrades at no extra cost. BMW ConnectedDrive offers free trials of features like Driving Assistant Plus, with the option to subscribe. Additionally, customers can access BMW’s Digital Premium offering through the ConnectedDrive store, which includes subscription-based apps for music streaming and news.

Shell Recharge collaboration

BMW Asia has partnered with Shell Recharge to offer electromobility solutions in Singapore. BMW i customers can choose from two charging packages:

  • Home Charging: A wall-mounted AC charger with complimentary installation.
  • Public Charging: A subscription package offering 10,000kWh over 3 years at Shell Recharge stations, with no monthly cap, covering up to 50,000km of driving range.
