Who would have thought you would be able to now sample BYD-themed cuisine and shop for a BYD at the same time?

1826 Restaurant, in partnership with BYD, Vantage Automotive and EightX Group has launched BYD by 1826, a first-of-its kind retail experience that blends a sustainable and premium-casual dining experience with automotive retail.

With EightX Group being appointed as the latest dealer of BYD EVs, you will now be able to sample the curated lifestyle experience right in the heart of the CBD.

Situated in a shophouse complex on the iconic Boat Quay stretch, the name ‘1826’ pays homage to the year its premises were constructed. The BYD-themed cuisine was certainly the main draw for this new venture, but let’s not forget that by blending these lifestyle elements, BYD aims to redefine and increase seamlessness of the automotive retail experience.

From BYD’s perspective, the switch from ICE to EVs not only represents a major shift in the automotive world, but also an entire change in lifestyle. With the launch of BYD by 1826, BYD hopes to mark this new chapter by establishing a sustainability-focused community and lifestyle ecosystem.

BYD by 1826 will be a permanent fixture at 33/34 Boat Quay, and this certainly makes it convenient to experience BYD's curated lifestyle, and head out for a test drive of models like the latest BYD Atto 3 (100 kW) at the same time. With the upcoming Suntec retail space and new car launches like the BYD Dolphin, the brand looks to be electrifying the local EV landscape.
