The redesigned front-end which comprises of a larger kidney grille and high ground clearance, gives the X7 more presence on the road. Stirring up the front end, the standard LED headlights can also be equipped with an optional BMW Laserlight that improves visibility on the road, and is able to exude a high-beam range of up to 600 metres.

The interior highlights the importance of comfort, technology and detailed craftsmanship. The interior comprises three rows of seats, offering space for seven people in total. If you fancy a full-blown limousine experience, the second row can be configured with two individual seats for more personal space. With all its seats deployed, the X7 offers 326-litres of cargo space.

The new X7 is fitted with the latest BMW’s fully digital instrument cluster and a control display, each of which is 12.3 inches in size. The “thermo” cupholders in the centre console are optional extras which help you keep your cup of Java warm.

The glass trim coated on the newly-designed gear selector is an option that adds up to the richness of this car. The interior is wrapped with high quality Vernasca leather, wood in-lays and metallic trims.

The car boasts a wealth of chassis technology as standard, including an Adaptive suspension that controls the electronic dampers, and air springs for both axles. The vehicle’s ground clearance can be varied by up to 80mm to suit the situation at hand, with a single touch of a button or using the BMW Display Key.

A handful of chassis systems are available as options to further enhance comfort and off-road performance. The off-road package includes four driving modes – xSand, xGravel, xRocks and xSnow. BMW claims that these drive modes enables you to tackle your next adventure of a lifetime.

The four engine variants that will be available at launch are xDrive50i, xDrive40i, xDrive30d and the M50d with outputs ranging from 265 to 462 horsepower. All of which are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic transmission.

BMW Asia Group will be uncaging the beast in Singapore within the first quarter of 2019.
