“In 2014, our key markets like Vietnam, Indonesia and Philippines have seen good growth throughout the year. However, we did face with some challenges in certain markets including Singapore and Sri Lanka, due to regulation changes,” said Mr. Axel Pannes, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.

“2014 witnessed two key milestones. Apart from the arrival of BMW i into our East Asia region beginning with Singapore, we also entered Myanmar for the first time. While the former sees the arrival of the Future of Mobility in the form of the all-electric BMW i3 and plug-in hybrid BMW i8, the latter is a move in sync with our strategy to reach more customers in this part the world.”

“In 2015, we’ll be introducing some new models for both BMW and MINI across our region to continue keeping our customers engaged,” concluded Mr. Pannes.

New products for 2015 include the new BMW 2 Series Convertible and BMW M235i Convertible, the new BMW X6 and BMW X6 M50d, the high-performance BMW X5M and BMW X6M, as well as the new MINI 5 Door and new MINI John Cooper Works.
