BMW delivers first BMW i8 Sports Car in Singapore.
BMW Asia and Performance Motors Ltd have jointly delivered the first plug-in-hybrid BMW i8 sports car at the BMW Facility and Service Centre located at 303 Alexandra Road. The first man in Singapore to receive the BMW i8 is Mr. Alan Lim, Managing Director, from Chuan Lim Construction Pte Ltd. During the delivery ceremony, Mr. Lim expressed his excitement in becoming the first person in Singapore to own a BMW i8: “I am elated to be the first to collect the new BMW i8 here in Singapore. I have been waiting for this remarkable vehicle to arrive after having read about the wonders and specifications of this electric car. This amazing BMW i8 is a gift to my wife.”
“Today marks an exciting day for BMW Asia as we make a milestone step towards furthering sustainable mobility with the BMW i8, the plug-in hybrid sports car made of carbon-fibre- reinforced-plastic,” said Mr. Axel Pannes, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia.
“We congratulate Mr. Alan Lim in becoming the first to own a BMW i8 in Singapore. The BMW i8 is truly an auto engineering masterpiece. The BMW i8 currently retails at SGD$599,800.
