A Fully Loaded Tesla Model Y Performance Will Cost S$300k In Singapore
Tesla has updated its configurator to include the Model Y in its lineup.
You can order one now in Singapore and expect it to be delivered later this year.
You can opt for a “base-spec” rear-wheel drive Model Y that starts from S$142,271 without COE. This includes a pearl white paint (the only colour without additional cost), 19-inch wheels and an all-black interior. Only a 5-seater configuration will be offered, regardless of trim level. The Model Y can achieve 455km (WLTP) and sprints from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds.
If we tick all the options on the rear-wheel drive Model Y, you’ll have to fork out S$159,612, which is S$17,341 more than a “bare-bones” Tesla Model Y. If we dissect the figures, we’ll start to notice the impact of ARF on its overall price. A red paintwork will cost S$3,000, alongside larger 20-inch wheels at S$3,000. A two-tone (black and white) interior costs S$1,500. $7,500 worth of options will trigger an additional ARF of S$9,841.
The dual motor, all-wheel drive Model Y without options will set you back S$189,995. Versus the rear-wheel drive Model Y on paper, you’ll get 59km more range, a higher top speed and a century sprint of 3.7 seconds.
If you prefer to adopt the more gung ho approach, tick all boxes in the dual motor all-wheel drive Model Y Performance and that adds up to S$201,712 without COE.
There are only two options of upgrades available for the Performance variant - exterior colour choices and a two-tone interior, which makes sense as the standard 21-inch rims are already considered massive to begin with. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the Performance variant to come with a third row option, which will make it a frighteningly fast sub-four seconds family hauler.
