9th Generation Toyota Camry Makes Southeast Asian Debut in Singapore

Toyota Singapore has announced the launch of the ninth-generation Toyota Camry in Singapore, marking the new sedan’s debut in Southeast Asia.

Immediately you’ll be drawn to its exterior that features a sleek design with aerodynamic lines, and unique LED headlights inspired by the hammerhead shark. The lower grille is now even wider, making it look more aggressive than its predecessor.

The Camry offers a luxurious interior with genuine leather seats, a panoramic roof, and a 12.3-inch multimedia system. But the highlight within has to be the rear seats with an armrest equipped with controls - air con, rear sunshade, volume - all at your fingertips. It comes equipped with a nine-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and Toyota Voice Agent come as standard, so you’ll receive the full suite of safety features such as Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist just to name a few.

It’s propelled by Toyota’s hugely popular (and effective) hybrid drivetrain. The 2.5-litre self charging hybrid pushes 227hp and 221Nm, and returns a fuel economy of 5.1l/100km(19.6km/l) on the combined cycle. With a fuel capacity of 50 litres, it can cover around 980km per fill on paper, which is impressive to say the least - especially for one that can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 7.2 seconds!
