While Singapore braves an all-time low of 22°C and a bout of continuous rainy weather, many Singaporeans must be wondering how to spend the second weekend of the New Year. So what should you do this weekend? Well, escape from the rain and head to the Singapore Motorshow 2018 at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center. The event features 26 all-new models and will be a great day out for families or a great father-son bonding time.
Taking place between 11 to 14 January at the third and fourth floor of the Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Center, the Singapore Motorshow 2018 features 26 all new models from Kia, Audi, Lexus, BMW, Honda, Hyundai, INFINITI, Land Rover, Maxus, Mazda, Mitsubishi Motors, Peugeot, SEAT, Porsche, Subaru, Volkswagen, Volvo, ISUZU, and Citroёn. Admission costs only 6 dollars, and it is complimentary for children under 120cm in height.
The 6 dollars will definitely be worth every cent, as every purchase will also allow you to participate in the Singapore Motorshow 2018 Lucky Draw, standing a chance to win a brand new Subaru Impreza.
The entire family will definitely be in for a treat as Subaru has brought in Russ Swift, British precision driver and three-time Guinness World Record holder, to titillate the senses of both the young and the old with his stunt performances. These performances are held at various timeslots and entry for the show is complimentary. Head over to the Stunt Show ticket collection counter on level 4, an hour before show times, as these entrance wristbands are handed out on a first-come-first-serve basis.
With all the loud pumping music and glamorous cars, Fathers can bring their children around the exhibition hall, introducing them to the logos of the various brands. Children can also see the real life version of their tiny toy cars up-close and personal. From shiny black to bright red cars, it will definitely delight the senses of the little ones. Fathers and sons can try their hand at “driving” the stationary cars or enjoying the plush seats of the latest Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo.
Adding on to the fun that you’ll get just roaming around the exhibition hall, kids can try their hands on the racing simulator at the Shell booth, or the On the Go safety driving game at the AIG booth located at the entrance of the hall.
Otherwise, head over to the Volvo Booth to check out the all-new Volvo XC40 an urban SUV that will make a great addition to the family. This beauty garnered a lot of attention from the public that were intrigued by its interior design that features a range of smart storage solutions.
There will definitely be many things to talk about now that you have unintentionally (or intentionally) cultivated a love for cars in the next generation. For older children, you can even get him or her to help select your next new ride.
