Valentine's Day Special - Best Cars for Making Out

Valentine’s Day is fast-approaching, and frankly, some of our cars are almost the price of a home. Given that some of us might have afforded ourselves the car but have not managed to put a sum aside for the house, we at Oneshift fully empathise with you. A minister had also once claimed that we really do not need a large space to have sex in (well I always thought large spaces made for more interesting sexual exploration, but I guess I’d be wrong). We are here to sing the same tune as that minister, here are some of the best cars which we believe, would provide the best moving experiences Singapore has to offer.

Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0TSI R-Line

Get there quickly (wherever/whatever the ‘there’ might be)! The 2.0 Tiguan is just about as fast as a GTi, but here is where the Tiguan makes so much sense! Fancy head and “dancing” tail lamp clusters might just be the right thing the human male species needs to attract its mate.

The Tiguan also features its excellent Dynaudio sound system, good for some nice tunes… while you consume or are consumed… Turn it up, and experience the excellent hum of its low-frequency bass, when you feel that things should be loud… and no need for a Hummer, with all the space the compact SUV can deliver in the rear, a full 1,655 litres of room to frolic.

We also marvel at the superb German logic of a full-sized moonroof for some stargazing, and a 360 degree parking camera for added visual security, as you get it on. And how about the two built-in rear tables which double as tablet holders, for catching your favourite flicks before or during your kicks, and thoughtful cup holders to hold your drinks for you to hydrate right after.

Audi Q2 1.0 TFSI S Tronic

Nothing best represents compact spaces than the Audi Q2 1.0. Remember friends, it’s not the size that counts, but how you use it. And the Q2 says it all with style, with its cheerful exterior and quality interior… Just like the goodness you have within yourself right now… yes you…

While there may be just 1,050 litres of “utility” room between the rear end and the front seats, we all now know we do not need much space, to get things going. The 1.0 features creative dynamic mood lighting on its dash panels, great when you choose the front seats instead to explore the merits of compact-smaller spaces.

Add on the available Multi Media Interface (MMI), and there is SatNav to help you find your way… before both of you find ways.

Some may say “Get a room!”, just ignore them for they do not know what they are missing. This car runs on a frugal 1.0 turbocharged engine… baby…

Kia Niro Hybrid 1.6

How about this… following the mantra that living lightly is good for this earth, which is likely what a vegan would tell you… the Kia Niro might still be a fuel burner, but the hybrid drive system does help in you reducing your carbon footprint on this planet.

The magic for this car is in the front seats. There is seat air-conditioning and warmers to go together with the mood, and even a Qi enabled mobile charging dock, so that there will be no end to IG selfies and stories to be told… even immortalised, while perhaps your legions of fans cheer you on.

Cold hands? Nervous? Don’t let her know… the steering is heated. The Niro has got your back.

***whispers*** tiger nose… ***whispers***

Subaru XV

Poise, stability and with feet on the ground. That is what a person looks for in a partner. And that is what the XV is all about. From its horizontally-opposed engine, with a lower centre of gravity, its fulltime all-wheel drive, the XV is intended to go a little further, while delivering the added advantage of stability and better grip. X-Mode adds even more assurance to the car, by taking command of the AWD, brakes and engine together with transmission response, and even Hill Descent Control; giving you better situational control when things get a little rough… (hint… hint)

Would you like to go a little further too? The added ground clearance means that you can go to where no others might want to venture, and also provides easier access for either one of you or both at the same time (whatever the second one means).

And that robust interior, will mean that spills of all sorts can be easily wiped away… no matter how far you may take things.
