Infiniti, the luxury performance automotive brand from Japan, and leading Singapore car distributor Wearnes Automotive, yesterday officially unveiled Infiniti’s flagship sales and service facility at 45 Leng Kee Road, on the city’s luxury automotive belt. A ceremony marking the event with Singapore debut of three performance models: the FX37, an iconic high-performance SUV, the M37, a luxury performance sedan and the stylish G37 Sports Convertible.

Designed and crafted to the exacting standards of the Infiniti Retail Environment Design Initiative (IREDI), the 9,900 sq ft facility combines stunning architecture with the service ambience of an upscale boutique hotel.

“We are bringing the highest standards of luxury retailing and hospitality to Singapore’s premium automotive market,” said Mr. Toru Saito, Infiniti’s Corporate Vice President. “And since Singapore is top-notch in both luxury and hospitality, I expect anyone in design, high-end retail or hospitality will want to come see how high we’ve set the bar.”

Ranked the fastest growing import luxury brand in the United States in 2010, currently sold in 36 countries and growing fast in China, Infiniti’s entry into Singapore is part of the brand’s global expansion drive over the next two years. First full-year sales are expected to reach 200 units.

Globally, Infiniti has a competitive 10 model offerings ranging from large-sized SUVs to compact sedans. In Singapore, the initial range will comprise three models: FX37/50, sport crossovers featuring distinctively bold styling; M37, a fresh alternative to the ubiquitous German marques; and G37, a very stylish sports convertible. The model line-up will be expanded as the business grows.

Infiniti’s Mr Saito said, “Demand for luxury cars has grown rapidly in Southeast Asia in recent years, driven by several years of strong economic growth and the emergence of upwardly mobile consumers. In Singapore, where demand for premium cars continues to rise, Infiniti delivers a unique proposition of vehicles with distinctive design, high performance engines and progressive luxury.”

Andre Roy, Group Managing Director, Wearnes Automotive, added, “We are confident that Infiniti will bring a fresh, new luxury alternative to satisfy the high expectations of customers in Singapore, offering inspired performance and attentive customer quality care and hospitality.

“As the Infiniti brand is new in Singapore, it will naturally take time to get established. In the short term, we will not be focusing on the volume. Our main priority will be to establish the brand in Singapore and to provide exceptional ownership experience and service quality to our customers. Unparalleled customer care is at the heart of the showroom, as we recognize and value our customers. With a deep understanding of our products and their needs, we will engage them with experiences tailored around their lives and lifestyles, not just around their vehicles.”

The unique Infiniti sales and service philosophy, known as the “Total Ownership Experience”, is a core part of Infiniti’s DNA. It is the promise to customers that they will be well taken care of throughout the entire period of Infiniti ownership.

Some of the exclusive lifestyle privileges include access to the Formula One Red Bull Racing Team Paddock Club and Energy Stations globally. Customers can also catch Formula One races live at the Infiniti showroom complemented with tantalizing treats. Customers will also enjoy Infiniti VIP Service with hassle-free collection and delivery of their vehicles. The showroom will be supported by the state-of-the-art Infiniti service workshop.

Infiniti offers a unique experience for those who seek a fresh approach to luxury motoring. It’s an approach that combines “Inspired Performance” and “Hospitality” with the precise attention to detail of Japan’s master craftsmen.

Elaborating on this theme, Mr Saito said, “Infiniti’s spirit of craftsmanship and innovation is rooted in a very Japanese sensibility, but it also mirrors the tastes and aspirations of our clientele: people who are uncompromising in their pursuit of the very best in life”.

On the branding and partnership front, the appointment of Formula One double world champion, Sebastian Vettel as Infiniti’s first ever global brand ambassador and partnership with Red Bull racing reinforces the brand’s passion and dedication to performance and technology.

Infiniti’s global collaborations with the finest luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Bell & Ross and Cirque du Soleil has also played a pivotal role in accentuating the brand’s association with haute culture and luxury.

The introduction of Infiniti to Singapore follows launches in Western Europe, select South American and Asia Pacific markets.
