Porsche Singapore's Sportscar Together Day 2022

Porsche recently hosted a Sportscar Together Day, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre, in the format of a drive-in cinema.

The first Sportscar Together Day was hosted in 2018, 70 years after the very first Porsche was registered on 8 June 1948. This year, Porsche Singapore brought the Sportscar Together Day back on 24th and 25th June by inviting Porsche owners, Porsche Club members and car enthusiasts.

Through a shared passion for Porsche sports cars, the event was set up to encourage enthusiasts and their families to bond over food, coffee, car displays, driving simulators, merchandise and most importantly, the screening of Bad Boys for Life! The drive-in cinema would have evoked excitement for many, whether it was a young child that was excited to experience a drive-in cinema for the very first time or for those who could reminiscence what they had experienced back in the day.

Customers and fans can expect more customer-centric experiences like the Sportscar Together Day 2022 in the future. This event comes on the back of the recent announcement of a new venture between Porsche and Eurokars Group to bring about new automotive retail concepts.

Those at the event also had the opportunity to admire and take photos with 2 sets of Porsche displays. The modern line-up included a 911 GT3, a 911 Carrera and an electric Taycan Cross Turismo 4S. My personal favourite was the heritage line-up (or inspired) that featured a 356, a 911 Speedster and a 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition in a stunning shade of Cherry Metallic. There was also a 911 50th Anniversary Edition at the event!

Prior to the screening of Bad Boys for Life that featured a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S driven by Will Smith, the Porsche team also hosted a 15-question virtual Kahoot! Quiz. This was a segment that increased camaraderie amongst the enthusiasts and their families, with questions about Porsche’s history at Le Mans, model year launches, image trivia and even exhaust note trivia!
