Ssangyong has pulled the wraps off the latest iteration of their popular Tivoli compact SUV! The MY2020 facelift equips the car with a renewed exterior outlook and a refreshed interior.

The unveiling was held in conjunction with Carousell Autos, at Bedok Mall, where curious onlookers and Ssangyong customers alike could have a go at one of the two simulators set up for Carousell’s Time Attack Challenge, to stand a chance to win some attractive prizes!

As Korea’s leading MPV/SUV manufacturer, Ssangyong has graced the new Tivoli with elements borrowed from conventional, larger SUVs, and also choosing to utilise LEDs in its light clusters for a sportier, higher-end and more future-proof outward appearance.

On the inside, the Tivoli has Ssangyong’s Blaze cockpit, where you will find a 9-inch HD screen that dominates the centre console, as well as a 10.25-inch digital gauge cluster. The former, feature-packed unit allows its occupants to make use of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, whilst the latter, which is a first time in its class, will enable drivers to configure their cluster depending on their driving modes.

Under the bonnet, expect to find a newly-developed 1.5litre turbocharged petrol engine, that delivers 170bhp. As mentioned earlier, the engine can be put into different driving modes, that range from Normal, where efficiency and silence are desired, to Sports, where more output is required. A winter mode is available as well. The engine is coupled to a six-speed automatic.

As for comfort and safety, Ssangyong beefed up their NVH (Noise and Vibration Prevention), that blocks out road noise from entering the cabin. Sound absorption materials have been also added to each pillar to greatly reduce the noise levels. The Tivoli comes with Active Safety Deep control, which uses 13 technologies to help prevent collisions.

The new Tivoli starts from S$99,888 for the Standard trim variant, and S$109,888 for the Deluxe.
