... there are plenty of money-can’t-buy experiences as part of the event...

Fancy spending time with several Mercedes-EQ models at once, while relishing in delectable sustainably sourced cuisine?

Mission: Electric will be right up your alley, and it is open to the public for registration until 7 July. It only costs $50 for 4 participants, which makes the event essentially free as there are meals provided. Also, there are plenty of money-can’t-buy experiences as part of the event, so it’s something you shouldn’t miss. Here’s a taster of what to expect.

Learning how to drive efficiently

After a hearty breakfast at Mercedes-Benz Centre Singapore, we were given the keys to the 7-seater EQB SUV to drive in the most eco-friendly way possible. Naturally, the extent of your success depends on how far you are willing to go - we did not bother switching off the air-conditioning for this (a major consumer of electricity), but the radar-based recuperation system definitely made it a lot easier to keep up with traffic while generating back energy where we could.

Erupt your taste buds with chocolate

Mr Bucket Chocolaterie is the next stop, and this was probably my favourite part of the event because I have a sweet tooth. But first, did you know that Charlie of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory had the surname Bucket? Now you know why the joint is named as such.

Discern between 3 green vegetable gelatos

Trust me, it is nicer than it sounds. At GardenAsia’s bistro, there is a choice of beef hor fun (and mind you, the beef is presented in a steak style!) or fish for lunch, followed by a tasting of the aforementioned gelatos which are certainly uniquely flavoured.

Here is also where we learnt about P.UP, Mercedes-Benz’ mobile charging partner, which offers convenient, on-demand charging services for Mercedes-Benz owners.

Our final car of the day - and in my opinion the best of the three - was the EQE43 AMG. Specified with air suspension and with specially tuned steering and dynamics, it was better riding than the EQE300 while giving engagement that’s befitting to the badge.

What a pleasure to cap off the amazing experience!
