Fans of motorsports would probably know about M7, in its white, green and black colours. M7 is a Japanese automotive brand that researches, develops and manufactures its products in Japan with the latest technology, before sending them worldwide for rigourous testing under all kinds of conditions.

Founded in 2006, M7 believes strongly in “using motor racing to develop, test and prove M7 products”, hence the company is actively involved in motorsports around the world.

You would have seen M7 at Super GT, D1 Grand Prix Japan, Japan Civic One-Make Championship, and Formula V6, supporting drivers such as Nobuteru Taniguchi, Manabu Orido and Ro Charlez.

Closer to home, the energy drink DRIVE by M7 is actively supporting the grassroots level of drifting in Malaysia with Tengku Djan and aggressively promoted by their ambassador Aaron Aziz. Tested by M7 Co. Ltd, Japan's factory racing operations and Team M7's professional racing drivers, M7’s line of automotive products are designed to deliver performance and enhance operational efficiency.

I first tried DRIVE by M7 when it was the official energy drink at last year’s Formula Drift Malaysia, but I have seen the M7 branding at various motorsport events and also at the Tokyo Auto Salon in January.

In Singapore, M7’s automotive product range is accessible at Motor Clinic, the exclusive local distributor for M7 since January 2012. Readily available products are the M7 engine oil series, open pod filter, throttle controller, racing meters and oil cooler, while the rest of the overwhelmingly comprehensive M7 automotive product range can be ordered on indent basis.

The special thing about M7’s engine oil is that it is fully made and manufactured in Japan, whereas there are other Japanese engine oil brands that are not produced in Japan. This guarantees that the oil is authentic.

Motor Clinic was officially started in September 2011, set up to complement a pre-owned car business by serving as a platform for aftersales service. Vehicle services such as repair and maintenance, as well as engine diagnosis are available. With such high COE prices these days, the workshop business should pick up as owners will keep their cars out on the roads for a longer period of time.

Beyond M7, Motor Clinic also carries API Racing’s coilovers and brakes.
