Launch of the Peugeot RCZ
Peugeot launched its dream come true - Peugeot RCZ at an exclusive media and trade partners cocktail event at the showroom on 25 February.
Peugeot created a new height in the history of the automobile industry with the launch of RCZ last Friday, 25 February 2011. Bold, sensuous and elegant, Peugeot's latest 2+2 coupe - the RCZ captivated top motoring, lifestyle media titles, trade partners and dynamic key opinion leaders in various industries who graced the event.
A momentous event, the RCZ launch also marked the beginning of a new exciting chapter in the history of Peugeot, which recently celebrated its 200th year anniversary.
The luxurious showroom was decked with mirrors to play on the thin line between the virtual world and reality with the new Peugeot RCZ representing a vision that has been actualized. Dancers also performed different genres of dance as a form of singular expression, representing Peugeot's diversity and the RCZ's appeal.
Incredibly beautiful and powerful, the RCZ has garnered a multitude of awards, most notably "Most Beautiful Car of the Year - 2009" at the prestigious 25th International Automobile Festival, as well as Top Gear (UK) magazine's "Coupe of the Year" 2010.
The RCZ encapsulates all that Peugeot stands for - style, innovation and luxury. Bringing it from the drawing board to production in totality reinforces Peugeot's uncompromising design standards, and its ability to turn the wildest dream into reality.
Such a design was never attempted on mass production in the past due to technological constraints but today, Peugeot has overcome all obstacles to present this futuristic concept car design. To mark this milestone, the RCZ is also the first Peugeot model with a new badge and name (instead of numbers).
