Tan Chong Motor Sales recently launched their latest model in the form of the Nissan Note. Its first supercharged model to ever be offered in Singapore. THe NOTE features a 1.2L DIG-S engine and delivers an agile and exhilaring driving performance equivalent to a 1.5-litre engine.

It's innovative design and advanced technology provides class-leading spaciousness and fuel efficiency. On top of its winning features, the NOTE has also been awarded the Car of The Year by the Automotive Reaserchers' & Journalists Conference in Japan.

Based on the dual-pillar strategy of "zero emissions" and PURE DRIVE, Nissan continues its efforts to reduce CO2 emissions throughout the product lineup. The new NOTE with supercharged or naturally-aspirated engine is one of the Nissan's PURE DRIVE models, a designation given to Nissan's most fuel-efficient, lowest emissions vehicles.

"We are looking forward to an exciting year for Nissan in 2013 with at least 4 new models to be launched, kicking off with the NOTE,". said Mr Joseph Ong, Managing Director, Tan Chong Motor Sales. "The NOTE is targeted at young buyers who are in the market for a compact hatchback that combines style and performance buy yet easy to maintain".

To celebrate the alunch of the all-new Nissan NOTE, Tan Chong Motor Sales is giving away a helicopter aerial tour of Singapore or a half-day yacht charter for every purchase of Nissan NOTE to the first 30 customers.

Supercharged power

The new NOTE is powered either by supercharged, direct injection HR12DDR Miller-cycle engine* or HR12DE engine, both paired with XTRONIC CVT (Contiously Variable Transmission). Utilizing the responsiveness of a supercharger, the newly-developed HR12DDR engine delivers agile and exhilrating driving equivalent to that of a 1.5L engine, and great fuel economy.

The highly efficient supercharger combined with an electric clutch efficiently controls the on/off operation depending on engine speed. For example, the supercharger operation may stop for low-speed city driving, resulting in both greater fuel efficiency and exhilarating acceleration performance on demand.

The naturally-aspirated NOTE uses the lightweight, compact HR12DE engine with strong torque at middle and lower speeds.
