BMW Asia today announced the arrival of the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, an innovative new concept that combines a Sedan’s dynamic, sporty genes with the practicality and versatility of a Touring.

“The new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is a high-calibre addition to the BMW 3 Series range that targets the premium mid-size segment. It exudes the elegance of a sports sedan but at the same time offers immense practicality and extra space,” said Mr Neil Fiorentinos, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia. “Not only is there more headroom in the BMW 3
Series Gran Turismo, it has additional legroom of full 70 millimetres over the 3 Series Sedan, thereby raising its spaciousness to luxury-car level.”

The BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo emits an aesthetic and emotional appeal, by demonstrating a distinctive presence on the road and offering similarly pronounced driving pleasure. All of which allows the new Gran Turismo to make a compelling case for itself as both an elegant business carriage and a dynamic, comfortable tourer. Driven by powerplants that use BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is available as the range-topping six-cylinder petrol engine under the bonnet of the BMW 335i Gran Turismo, the four-cylinder petrol units in the BMW 328i Gran Turismo and BMW 320i Gran Turismo.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic for all three engine variants, and the gearbox is linked up with the fuel-saving Auto Start-Stop function.

Advanced suspension technology, featuring a large number of light-alloy components, finely balanced axle load distribution (50:50) and a torsionally stiff lightweight body ensure
outstanding handling attributes and a high degree of agility and precision.
