What we like:
pros
Excellent grip in the dry
pros
good level of comfort
pros
reinforced inner and outer sidewall gives it an extra edge when the road gets all twisted
What we dislike:
cons
Tyre noise still noticeable
cons
could do with slightly better wet grip

Like mentioned at the start of this review, the UHP segment is currently crowded with likewise offerings even from Michelin (Pilot Preceda 2), Pirelli (PZero Nero) and Hankook (Ventus V12 evo).

But what makes the German Asymmetric outstanding is the fact that it has high comfort level when driven over any road condition, class-leading cornering capabilities and good response when forced to brake hard. The only one improvement it needs? Slightly better grip in the wet.

So if you're driving a performance sedan or a luxury sedan, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric is a good set of replacement tyre to consider.

Pity, 215/45 R-17 is the smallest size being manufactured for now...
