Iceberg dead ahead!

(Okay, so it's not an iceberg per se, but it is one very cool-looking floating exhibit!)

So just why did Audi go through all this trouble to create such a showcase? According to Mr. Reinhold Carl, Managing Director of Audi Singapore, "Boat Asia is the ideal platform to showcase their latest SUV because sailing is a sport that demands constant innovation from both man and machine. At Audi, we think the same of our cars. The Q5 exemplifies Vorsprung durch Technik, Audi's commitment to stay ahead through innovation and pushing the limits of technology and design.

Mr. Carl continued: "Audi's luxury market share in Singapore continues to climb. In the first quarter of this year it hit 11.8 percent, which represents a quarter-on-quarter increase of 2.1 percent. With the Audi Q5 ad other new models lined up for this year, I am confident that 2009 will be another good year for Audi Singapore. I am pleased to celebrate Audi's success and support Singapore's status as a leading marine centre and a hub for modern waterfront living."

The 400-square metre housing was officially opened by the German Ambassador, His Excellency Jorg Ranau. The display is located at Marina at Keppel Bay.

Inside the iceberg is an array of multimedia configurators which visitors can utilize to virtually "customize" their Q5. The public are invited to visit the floating exhibition and test drive the dynamic and sporty SUV that's suitable to both leisure time and family use.

Before its market launch, the Q5 was awarded the by Bild am Sonntag. The Q5 also swept three other awards since November 2008 - , a prize from Auto Motor und Sport and the award.

Members of the public can test drive the Audi Q5 at Marina at Keppel Bay from April 23 - May 3, 2009.

Worth the Q-ueue
