I Used To Drive Her Crazy, Now I Drive Her To Places

This Mother's Day, Carousell and Audi partnered up to give Carousellers a chance to pamper the woman of their lives. The winner of our contest - Jeremy - scored a set of wheels for the weekend, putting that winning spin to his Mother’s Day celebration plans. The car of the moment?

The Audi Q2 1.4L.

The Q2 truly is a head turner, with its chunky-yet-cheeky exterior styling. The impressive torque output of 250Nm from 1,500rpm from this compact turbocharged unit is nicely complemented by the competent 7-speed S-Tronic transmission, which keeps the revs between the 1,500rpm and 3,500rpm sweet spot most of the time. This punchiness surprised Jeremy, far exceeding his expectations of its1.4L engine. Topping it off, he thoroughly enjoyed the pleasantly tranquil and well put-together cabin.

More importantly, it was the woman of the hour that the Q2 had to please - Jeremy’s future mother-in-law. His in-law-to-be drifted to sleep in total comfort during the ride: testament to the well-sorted suspension and minimal road noise entering the cabin. The discerning lady also gave special praise to the Q2’s “stereo”, which came equipped with a 10 speaker, 180-watt Audi sound system.

Taking on additional passengers was also a breeze, with enough room at the rear to seat three in comfort. Jeremy and his fiance's family cruised down to East Coast Park in the Q2, arriving in style and refreshed.

They enjoyed a change of pace with a quadricycle ride and ended the day with a satisfying hawker fare.

The icing on the cake for Jeremy was being able to surprise his mother at the airport with the Q2, and spend some time together catching up over a relaxing drive.

All in all, one Audi Q2 and two happy mothers added up to a hugely successful Mother’s Day for Jeremy and clan!
