Here Are Some Of The Best Cars For Females To Do Make-Up In

Morning rush hour made that much more stress-free!

We’ve all been there and done that, even if you’re on the receiving end (husbands and boyfriends, here’s a toast). That peak hour morning madness coupled with chores that seem to take ages - washing up, choosing OOTDs, gobbling down breakfast and not forgetting the lift that knows how to take its own sweet time when you’re already running later than usual.

That’s even discounting one of the most important tasks for females - make-up. And the time crush often relegates them to perform balancing acts at the helm at junctions, eyeballs multitasking between traffic lights and eyeshadow drawing precision. Just when we thought that mirrors beneath the sun visors are the most important criteria for on-the-go make-up, there’s way more than meets the eye…

Considering make-up “application” while selecting a car requires taking into account factors like interior space, visibility, lighting, and convenience features. While there isn't a designated category of cars solely for this purpose, some models provide attributes that make make-up application more fuss free. Here are a few cars with ample and thoughtfully designed interiors, offering good visibility both outside and within.

Honda CR-V

The Honda CR-V is a well-packaged midsize SUV known for its generous interior space and expansive windows, providing excellent visibility when applying make-up.

To have its gear lever perched on “higher ground” also means it frees up space for pouches, bags and more near where coffee cups usually reside.

Tesla Model Y

Sure, cars with cream interiors come across as not faovurable - imagine mascara stains all around the cabin! But if you’re the extremely careful sort, the Tesla Model Y would suit you to a tee.

There’s a roomy interior for make-up application - IMAX-sized windshields and massive panoramic glass roof provide ample natural light and an airy ambiance.

Toyota Camry

It’s a manufacturer that aims to embrace all types of motoring, from rally-inspired, road legal machines to fuel-sipping family haulers. The Toyota Camry leans towards the more functional end of the spectrum, but its looks have evolved so dramatically that we shouldn’t label it as “uncle-spec” anymore. We’d dare say that it’s even cool driving a lower-slung sedan in 2023.

Higher-end Camrys have front passenger electric seat buttons located at the right side of the passenger seat. So with the passenger seat fully reclined, you can effectively deploy a buffet spread of make-up gear without the need to ransack your make-up pouch!

Honda N-Van

Sure, it’s not a Honda N-Box with proper, padded rear seats, but due to COE-related tax reasons, the Honda N-Van’s appeal (commercial COE premiums are currently more affordable) has drawn visual similarities to the Nissan Cube in the late noughties - quirky, polarising opinions even.

But we can’t deny that its fridge-like silhouette pays dividends inside. There’s plenty of elbow space and headroom to perform all the make-up you need, all within a manageable footprint comparable to a Honda Jazz.
