What we like:
pros
Cred you get when you drive a car that can travel more than 30km per litre of diesel
What we dislike:
cons
On/off power delivery
cons
dodgy clutch
cons
Nonsense diesel car tax ‘penalty'

Inside, the BlueMotion comes with unique light blue ‘Power On' trim for the seats and door inserts as well as extra kit like leather wrapped gear knob and steering wheel, cruise control and digital climate control over a normal Polo.

The Polo BlueMotion is really good at what it is conceived for - to be the most economical and cleanest five-seater car in production. But some compromises have to make in order for it to achieve its objectives. These compromises include the ridiculously long gearing and the lack of soundproofing and refinement. The engine is plain loud and clattery at both idle and atany given speed.

There's the price factor too - BlueMotion is more expensive to make thanks to its unique features so cost is definitely an issue in the highly competitive small car market here and then there's the ever present passenger car diesel tax. But if you're some one who wants to tell all that you care for the environment or part of the green movement than the Polo BlueMotion is your car.
