We've never driven a Toyota Vios before. Yaris? Yes. Corolla? You ought to be shot dead if you have not with the immense number of them running around on the road. The Vios was one of the biggest surprises this year, at least for us it was.
You are looking for cheap, affordable transport that does the job effectively and reliably. At the same time, you are an enthusiast who loves the occasional, spirited drive, and an upright sitting position (which I don't like)
With prices starting from $49,288 (correct as of 4th April) for the basic model, we should expect the Vios to continue being the happy little car that offers both drivers and passengers something quite unexpected underneath its normal-ish, sedan like skin!
