The Nissan Qashqai Gets a Fresh New Look!

How about that? The very popular Qashqai gets a new look! What Can We Expect? Nissan is not revealing everything, but what we know is that the new front treatment gets some nice re-styled ‘boomerang’ daytime running lights, a new set of fogs, nestled into the front bumper. And Nissan’s signature ‘V’-shaped grille gets bigger. Rear tail lights too get the same ‘boomerang’ treatment.

Ditching the goody-goody image the pre-facelifted car portrayed, the new car presents a more aggressively styled nose.

Internally, the Qashqai’s according to Singapore’s local distributor, Tan Chong Motor, sees an improved layout, with higher-quality materials delivering a highly attractive and functional interior for all occupants.

Another welcome change comes in the form of the D-shaped multi-function steering wheel with premium satin-chrome inserts. It features a new four-way controller for the combimeter display, for more intuitive use and less 'eyes off the road' time.

Adding to the list of tech goodies, the Qashqai will be equipped with the likes of, Intelligent Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Driver Attention Alert, Intelligent Around View Monitor, Blind Spot Warning and Lane Departure Warning, to name a few which will enhance all-round safety, and provide even more convenience for drivers.

Speaking about drivers, improvements to the suspension and steering systems are another thing that will deliver an even more refined on-the-road experience.

The facelifted Qashqai will be available in the fourth quarter of 2017, and powered by a 1.2L turbocharged engine, and a 2.0L option.
