Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5 4Dr Review: Let 'Imp rip!

It didn't win much fans as many still can't associate a WRX with a hatchback. But finally with the arrival of the WRX in sedan form, can it win back the fans it lost earlier? Or is it just a vain effort?

What we like:
pros
Smooth-revving boxer engine. The satisfaction of delivering turbocharged power via 5-speed manual down to all four tyres.
What we dislike:
cons
It's no longer a WRC beast.

Your fiancée loves even the boyracer in you, but is aghast at the thought of being seen in your boyracer ride. So, before she can walk away in a huff after she finds out you’ve purchased the Impreza 2.5 WRX-S, simply show her the car.

Then watch her exclaim, “That’s a Subaru?”

Well, for around $80K you get AWD, a turbocharged boxer engine, HID headlights, a refined ride, four doors, and a boot. You’ll also get on your woman’s good side (which you’ll be rewarded for), and earn her parents’ approval for being a good guy with a decent car (you’ll be rewarded again for that). With those in mind, the $5K premium the sedan commands over the hatchback is surely justified.

Not all boys grow up, but for those who have, your ride has arrived…
