I have to say, my initial thoughts were that the Accent was a tad underwhelming. Unlike its bigger brothers, it seemed happy to meet the benchmark rather than exceed it. That said, I appreciated it for its honesty, overall good road manners and the ease with which one gets in and just drive. For any one looking for a starter set of wheels, the Accent would give many simple joys that are sometimes forgotten in far larger cars with more complications. If I may draw a comparison, it is a little bit like the humble Casio I used to wear in primary school. It’s not particularly stylish, but it’s light, it’s good at what it does and hardly fails on me. I could live with that.
