Reinvented boss
Possibly the most successful irony on the roads - excellent driving dynamics despite boatloads of space from its massize size. The all-new BMW 7 Series.
In keeping with the rest of the segment, BMW individual will also tailor the car to your exacting specifications if you so wish to further personalise it. This car truly represents all that is high-end indulgence, centred on technology that takes the luxury to a new height. The electronic wizardry introduces new levels of convenience and usability blended with traditional fine materials to create a whole new concept of automobile luxury.
I’ve recently decided that the best time to drive the 7 Series is at night, when you get clear roads and darkness that allows you to enjoy the ambient lighting in the car. It’s supremely quiet in the cabin –you feel so isolated from the rest of the world it becomes, as BMW accurately puts it, “a place to rest and recharge away from the fast-paced world outside”.The downside (yes there’s a downside to this), is that you don’t hear the beautiful sound that the inline-6 engine makes a whole lot. A shame, because it sounds so good as always.
The car is soft and comfortable like the luxury chief executive mobile it’s meant to be, but does that present an ironic contrast to the driving fun from the precision sportiness that BMWs have been centred on? I reckon if you can’t come to grips with this mismatch, you should look at the 7 Series in this way.
Driving pleasure doesn’t always have to be about dynamism and performance outright. That’s what M is for. This car creates driving pleasure in a way that’s relaxing, comfortable and wellness centred. Perhaps the best place to be in this car isn’t the front any more, but make no mistake; when you’re at the helm, it’s still packs enough performance and agility to be called a BMW.
