Practical Family Fun
A car for practical family fun! Well, not quite. But this is as close as you can get to doing that if you were to have spare change and would want a Ferrari.
Just like how a family Ferrari should be, all seats are supportive, and the the front seats are also ventilated for added comfort, during those long drives. As a front passenger, you do get the second best seat, with your very own screen to track how quick, how many ‘G’s and how much power is utilised.
The car is (almost) truly built to accommodate four passengers, while the rear seats are relatively comfortable and supportive, I would still not recommend a trip lasting more than an hour.
Quality tanned leather, with very good stitching makes for a wonderful place to be in, although there is, as with many Italian cars, that bit of perceived brittleness; this time from the air-conditioning vents.
In the driver’s seat, a lovely F1-inspired steering, complete with manettino dial and a large metal flappy-pedal fixed cog swapper greets you. Information comes to you from a singular dial, flanked by two rectangular LCD displays.
Adding to its practicality, the Shooting Brake styled car actually does have quite a large 450 litre, albeit shallow boot.
As a supercar brand, we could say that Ferrari is stretching it just a little with this offering, and if you were to squint a little, could it be actually a hot hatch for the super rich?
But actually the car really is a grand touring supercar… trying its very best, not to be a supercar, and you have to give ‘the prancing horse’ credit for stepping in another direction to build a car, rather this clever.
