Opel Corsa OPC 1.6 Review: Germanic chuckles

Not everyone can agree with the idea of a hot-hatch, and that should explain why it's slowly dying here. In its attempt to revive this almost-forgotten genre, Opel decided to introduce the Corsa OPC - and boy, is that thing a bucket load of fun!

What we like:
pros
It has the looks
pros
handling fun and an eager engine. When was the last time we saw that come from Opel?
What we dislike:
cons
Slightly premium asking price could potentially shy away those genuinely in the market for one.

So where does the Corsa OPC stand in the league of 3-door hot-hatches then? It slots nicely between the Peugeot 207GTi and Renault Clio R27, and at the same time, undercuts the Mini Cooper S in more ways than one.

So, if you’re still having doubts with the French, and think the Cooper S is too much of a premium, then the Corsa OPC is your answer. It may not wear a prestigious badge, but value and performance rates highly in its books. Boom boom.
