Nissan Sylphy 2.0 CVT Review: Smooth and Sylphy

If you've been looking for a plush 2.0-litre "Made in Japan" sedan and always thought that the usual Accord and Camry crowd is just too boring, the Sylphy is one proposition you should consider. After all, who could ever go wrong with a Nissan?

What we like:

pros
well-built. Quiet
pros
comfortable cruiser.
What we dislike:
cons
Poor retro-fitted head unit and those drum brakes in the rear.

The Nissan Sylphy was a pleasant surprise to us. Most people view it as an Ah Pek’s ride, but guess what? We like it (and in fact, The Ed likes it even more than I do). To those looking for a proper 2.0-liter sedan, we highly recommend you have a look at this.

It’s well-built (Japan-made, no less), spacious, and comfortable. The boot is voluminous, making the Sylphy a practical hauler as well. That said, the white-faced gauges can be ignored, and the not-so-nice head unit can always be replaced. Those drum brakes…we’ll just let them slide this time.

Thus, if you find the Latio too small, the Sunny too “old” and the Teana too huge for your needs, then the Sylphy might be just right for you.
