Although its been in our market for less than two years, Mitsubishi decided to give the popular Lancer EX GT some facelift. Not that it needs one badly, but will all these changes make its sales number rise?

What we like:
pros
Good looks for a "family sedan". Available Rockford Fosgate audio.  Those lovely magnesium paddles.
What we dislike:
cons
Nose-heavy. Engine could use more refinement.  And where did those ponies go?

The Lancer EX GT looks nothing like your typical family saloon. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a stereotypical middle-aged couple with their two kids in this car. It looks…too young for them.

Yuppies who can’t pry themselves away from their aspirations of a more expensive dream ride are missing out on this car. It has excellent ride despite having bigger rims, a well-built interior with cool sound system and that awesome pair of magnesium paddles which make you feel like you’re driving something more exotic.

If you want the practicality of a family saloon without the “safe & conservative” look, then the Lancer EX GT is just the car for you.
