The McLaren 12C Coupe, need we say more?

What we like:
pros
Clean athletic exterior. Best braking and cornering performance we’ve ever experienced in a supercar. Luxury sedan ride comfort in a SUPERCAR!
What we dislike:
cons
Soundtrack isn’t quite as inspiring as the Ferrari 458 but still makes its presence felt.

The 12C is astonishing in the way it throws out the convention that comfort has to be traded for the level of performance that supercars offer. And it is living proof that high performance can be had with a comfortable ride available on a whim when you’re not hammering down a track or through Raffles Boulevard.

The only reason I can see for taking a 458 over this is in the stallion’s sonourous V8 symphony of which is the only weak point of the McLaren. That’s not to say the 12C doesn’t have a soundtrack of its own. It still boasts of power and decibels but at a different octave. That aside, the Mac is still brilliant in its own right and has a road presence to match.

I’ve been panged with regret ever since I handed the keys back. Why? For the simple reason that everything I’ve driven since seems to travel at a snail’s pace.
