Lotus Evora 2+2 Review: Weighting Game
The new Lotus' luxuries and refinement means it'll never be as hardcore as the no compromise Exige or Elise but the Evora still makes for a brilliant driver's car.

The Exige and Elise will crash over bumps like there's no tomorrow thanks to their ultra stiff suspension but not the Evora. In fact, the Evora rides far better than some Japanese performance models. There's just certain pliancy in the way the Evora rides.
At $318,000, the Evora 2+2 is priced within reach of its Porsche Cayman S nemesis. Sure, the Evora isn't as hardcore as an Exige or Elise but then again it's not for the most hardcore of drivers. Instead it offers a fine balance between every day usability and being a hugely rewarding sports car. Forget about Hethel's attempt at a driver focused GT with the confused Europa for the Evora is the one that hits it right where it matters. The only downside is probably the lack of a two pedal version, a very important factor for our market and something its Cayman S rival has.
