Is it more than just a good looking car?

The Kia Sportage is a good looking crossover, but is it really any good at all?

What we like:
pros
Sheer value for money
pros
great design inside and out
pros
spacious and well-equipped cabin
What we dislike:
cons
Slightly sluggish acceleration
cons
inert steering feel
cons
blind spot from the lack of windows behind the C-Pillars

Value for money is the Sportage’s forte. The car undercuts its rivals in terms of prices whilst offering very high equipment levels as standard. To top it off, the car comes with 5 years unlimited mileage warranty, 10 years engine warranty, and competitive 5 year maintenance plans, to make the deal even sweeter. All in all, the value for money make ownership propositions extremely enticing and attractive.

Conclusion

All in all, the Kia Sportage is very good effort from Kia, it is a strong-performing family crossover. Priced at $147,999, the Sportage is keenly priced aginst its Japanese and Korean rivals, but offer just as much, or even more kit. The car may have some minor niggles but given its good breadth of abilities, it's a crossover that we find hard to fault.
