The Cayenne had a difficult birth in 2002 and was often needled for its less than graceful looks alongside the 911 but that hasn't stopped it from plowing ahead on the sales chart...

What we like:
pros
Dynamic handling befitting of the Porsche crest. A very well-built interior with superior sound insulation from outside influence.
What we dislike:
cons
The lack of keyless entry as standard kit.

Porsche has made some minor tweaks to the exterior design as well. A sleeker front profile gives the illusion that the front is closer to the ground. The thinner profile of the rear lights have also given the rear a sportier appearance.

While the small changes around the car might seem minor, they’ve all combined to place the Cayenne strongly ahead as a well-built luxury SUV with dynamic underpinnings. Although specced with decent features that include a sunroof, rear view camera and navigation, the absence of keyless entry as standard kit is puzzling in a segment where it is commonplace.
