What we like:
pros
The godly sound and volume of mechanical symphony from its pipes. Superior handling and performance that is inherent of its mid-engine setup.
What we dislike:
cons
It’s hard not to love this topless Porsche.

When all that hooning is done and you just want to doddle around town, the GTS settles down at the push of a button. The ride isn’t buttery smooth but there’s a pliancy to it that makes it feel like a much larger car than it really is.

But even with its small size, we found the Boxster more practical than it lets on. There’s plenty of boot space spread between its front and rear trunk. The combined 280 litres is more than what you get in most cabriolets and double that of the Targa which also incidentally costs twice as much.

The Boxster GTS is a holistic package of comfort, performance and handling with an icing of perfect chassis balance on top. If I was in the market for pure driving fun, I would pick the GTS over the 911 Carrera S for its price to performance ratio. It costs $170,000 less but it doesn’t feel like you’re getting $170,000 less in performance.
