Europe is its Playground

Europe is really a place where the humble hatchback gained popularity. While the golden era of the 80s, where these cars were nimble simply because they were light, and power robbing safety features were not-as-high on the list as it is today, hatches quickly became the ideal must-have for just about any working or middle class person, since they were economical to run, and were genuinely chic.

We must admit that we were a little sceptical of the i30 at first, but it has proven itself to be much better than we had expected. A car like this would be seen as a workhorse for the family, and for what it is equipped with, we certainly feel that it does have that “just enough” formula with its list of equipment, though there is no SatNav.

Handling and performance-wise, it certainly is entertaining, especially coming from a car built for a more ordinary purpose.

We can dare say that it does match-up well to the European competition and “benchmarks”, and may have in a way beaten the Japanese in the game.
