The Czech brand, along with its German engineering, is a value-for-money offering in the performance class category. The RS245 is the most powerful variant of the Octavia series and has been said to be a Skoda-packaged Golf GTI with more power than its corporate cousin. Its 2.0-litre TSI engine grants a 370 Nm on tap from 1600rpm. Even though it does its century sprint slightly behind the GTi, its 6.6 seconds is still remarkable!

The RS245 was previously listed at $128,400 (19 July 2018) and if that price stays when it makes its way back into our shores, the Octavia indeed gives you great bang-for-buck for what it offers.
