What we dislike:

Dodgy gearbox
cons
polarising looks and slightly dated interior

We applaud that Peugeot decided to bring a diesel version of the 3008 to Singapore, not just because it is a wise business decision (CEVS rebates thanks to the cleanliness of the eHDi) but also because we love diesels for their frugality and low-end torque. However, the 3008 eHDi would have made a much more convincing case to us had it come with a conventional automatic gearbox.

As a whole however, for someone who does highway driving frequently, the drawbacks of the gearbox will ebb away and the benefits may show at the pumps. If you use the car mostly for trips up north, the space, decent highway manners and high seating would advantageously weigh over the drawbacks.
