At $151,800 including COE, the 125i Coupe is some $2k more costly to buy than the more powerful 130i. But then again, the Coupe obviously deserves a premium over the hatch model if you were to look at it from an aesthetics and practical point of view. In terms of competitors, it is pretty scarce - unless you want to compare it to the larger Japanese models like the Nissan 350Z.

I have to say I’m a petrolhead and love power, but I have to make an exception this time round. Given the choice between the 130i hatch and the 125i Coupe, I’d have to say that I will take the less powerful car – simply for its better looks and ride quality.
