The A8's innovative features and top-notch quality cabin certainly surpasses that of its competitors.
What we like:
pros
Sporty handling
pros
unsurpassed quality on the inside
pros
new MMI
pros
punchy V8 and diesels
What we dislike:
cons
No tax friendly engine variants yet
cons
image not as prestige as a S-Class
cons
lacks presence on the outside

Safety is high on the new A8's agenda - the Audi pre sense safety system for mitigating accidents and their consequences is a new feature with night vision assistant with pedestrian marking, adaptive cruise control with stop & go function and advanced driver assistance systems are available as options.

From our preview drive in Spain, the new A8 certainly makes for a convincing package. It certainly felt like it is sportier than an S-Class and yet ride better than a 7 Series. But it is on the inside that the A8 truly impresses - the innovative features and top-notch quality cabin certainly surpasses that of its competitors. Bring on the luxury barge group test when the A8 comes to town later this year then!
