Audi A5 Coupe 3.0 TDI quattro S-tronic Review: Grand aim
So Audi was bold enough at introducing a diesel sports tourer for our market - yes, putting a niche car into an already niche market. But The Ed thinks there is another reason as to why the A5 TDI is introduced here....

In any case, you should also consider this - its official combined fuel consumption is 14.5km/l. Now I won't pretend either, but during my week with the car, I only averaged 10km/l. And I have two things to blame on: (a) driving such a car makes flooring the accelerator really addictive, and (b) getting stuck in jams.
Nevertheless when the road opens up, it's rewarding in more ways than one to be able to bound about at speeds for several hours, especially late at night, and barely see the fuel gauge needle move - just another thing dieselphobes choose to ignore.
So before you sign on that dotted line for a $277,888 E350 Coupe or $248,800 335i Coupe, you might want to sample the $206,800 A5 TDI first. Maybe, just maybe, the thought of its performance and good economy could sway you. And if you can afford to look at cars in this segment, I'm sure you can well afford the yearly road tax...
