The XFR came next. Although it has roughly 130 horses more than the XK, the heavier XFR saloon felt less maneuverable and less light-footed. Still, it proved a tidy handler on the slalom course. The drive was also a good lesson in understanding the electronic driver aids such as Adaptive Dynamics, Active Differential Control and Dynamic Stability Control, fitted on the cars.
Finally, it was time to take a ride with Laurence in the XK. With all electronic aids switched off, the Brit effortlessly threw the car (and me in my seat!) around the course, occasionally putting the car into a slide and controlling it with the throttle.
