Inchcape and Karcher Introduce Industry-First Automated Car Wash Gantries In Singapore
Inchcape Singapore has partnered with Kärcher to launch an industry-first automated car wash gantry in Singapore that recycles up to 85% of water used per wash. This sustainable initiative marks a substantial reduction in water usage.
Who can use these car wash gantries?
They are made available for Toyota, Lexus, and Suzuki customers during servicing at Leng Kee and Ubi service centres. This innovation is forecasted to conserve up to 7.5 million litres annually across all Inchcape locations, equivalent to three Olympic-sized swimming pools.
How does this tech work?
Inchcape and Kärcher's automated car wash system in Singapore employs a thorough filtration process, reducing impurities to 70 microns, then storing the filtered water for initial washes. A final rinse with fresh water completes the process, ensuring vehicles have a polished finish. This sustainable approach significantly minimises water wastage.
Proper tools for the job
Karcher ensures that the gantries are equipped with specially designed polyethylene brushes, providing a consistent and thorough clean. The rear cleaning is optimised at the right angle, rims are cleaned with height-adjusted precision, and the wash is completed with a quick contour-following roof dryer.
